Aren't we all proud?

Updated April 25, 2011

WARNING: The video linked in this post contains extreme violence.

A very disturbing video of an assault that took place April 18 in a Baltimore-area McDonald's restaurant has gone viral. Normal people who watch the video in horror feel our pulses quicken and outrage building.

Police eventually arrested a 14 year-old girl (charged as a juvenile) and an 18 year-old woman. And of course it's a "hate crime." Only bitter, angry, hate-filled people could lash out so violently. Prosecutors are "looking into" the possibiity of charging both suspects with that as well.

McDonald's has fired the employee who chose to use his mobile phone to video the crime, rather than call police. But other employees can be seen in the video, watching - and actually laughing - as the beating takes place. One makes a half-hearted attempt to stop the violence, as does another patron. But those who stood by should be charged as accessories to the crime.

Subsequent reports have revealed that the victim is a transgendered person or a transvestite. We do not support the idea of a transgender or transvestite "lifestyle." But some are now actually saying the victim invited a beating, by attempting to use a women's restroom. It doesn't matter what motivated these criminals to attack this person so viciously.

It doesn't matter who the victim was, or what their "lifestyle" is. There is absolutely NO excuse for violence of this kind, except self-defense. Since that doesn't seem to be the case here, we urge prosecutors to seek the maximum penalty under the law for both of the perpetrators. Animals who look like human beings, but behave in this manner, must be kept locked away from the rest of us, for our own safety.

It is interesting to note that most media accounts of the incident did not report any description of the attackers, despite the fact that no arrests had been made when the story broke. Apparently, our progressive media are too afraid to report that two black women were the suspects, for fear of being branded racists by the Al Sharpton crowd.

The official Baltimore police report can be found here. And for the truly curious, police have released Teonna Monae Brown's mug shot.

Aren't we all proud of how our society is breeding this kind of undisciplined, out-of-control, dangerous criminal?

Rep. Allen West: Sick and tired of Obama's Marxist rhetoric

In a day when any criticism of President Obama is immediately dismissed by the progressive media as racist or worse, it's refreshing to hear an elected official speak the truth about him.

Interviewed by Greta Van Susteren on On The Record, Rep. Allen West (R-FL) said, "I'm sick and tired of this class warfare, this Marxist, demagogic rhetoric that is coming from the President of the United States of America." West added, "I'm not going to back away from telling what the truth is." He then described Obama as "a low-level, socialist agitator."

Here is the full clip of West's appearance:

Be careful, Congressman West. Comments like this will get you elected President of the United States in 2012.

More budget talk? Yawwwwwwn...

Apparently, members of the Obama Regime are completely bored with talk of budget cuts and debt reduction. They said they wouldn't sleep until the job is done, so they may just think their work is finished. Let's elect a new President in 2012, and move Messrs. Obama, Biden, et al to the lecture circuit.

This is why the terrorists will win

Perhaps, like many Americans, you don't fly often. What else could explain the lack of public outrage at the policies being pursued today by the US Department of Homeland Security and the Transportation Security Administration?

All you have to do is watch this brief clip to know that something is not right:

Fact: Americans do not use their six year-old kids to carry bombs onto airplanes. None of us are interested in killing ourselves for the cause of Islam. Until DHS, TSA and our cowardly politicians admit that jihad Islam is the enemy, they will continue to violate our Constituional right to protection from "unreasonable searches and seizures" - a right Americans have enjoyed since December 15, 1791.

Does anyone really think groping children enhances air travel safety? Have you contacted your Senators and Representative and asked them why TSA is allowed to do this?

What do the Federal budget numbers really mean?

According to USDebtClock.org, the United States of America now has $14.3 trillion in debt. That number is climbing - rapidly. The official budget of the United States indicates that in fiscal year 2011 alone, the country will borrow another $1.267 trillion just to pay this year's bills. This results from receipts of $2.567 trillion and outlays of $3.834 trillion.

But numbers in the trillions are just too large for most of us to grasp - a fact most politicians count on, to keep us in the dark about what they're really doing. So we offer the following, simplified illustration: Imagine we're talking about your household income, expenses and debt.

We'll begin with a baseline we can all relate to: your annual income is $38,340. The problem is that your expenses are 1 1/2 times your income, so you're using credit cards to pay your bills. Even worse, you're using a credit card to make minimum payments on another. Your spending and borrowing habits mirror those of the Federal Government, so here's what your financial statement looks like:

Annual Income: $38,340.00

Annual Expenses: $57,510.00

New Debt This Year: $19,170.00

Another way to look at this is how far behind you fall each month:

Monthly Income: $3,195.00

Monthly Expenses: $4,792.50

New Debt This Month: $1,597.50

Washington politicians are now crowing about a historic a $38 billion budget cut. But what would this really look like in our household budget example? Let's translate this self-proclaimed "accomplishment" into numbers we can all understand.

Your annual budget is $19,170 in the red. So you struggle, prioritize, eliminate, pinch pennies, and manage to find savings of 3%. That's a whopping $1,725.30 you won't spend this year, or $143.78 each month. The result of your courageous, "historic" budget slashing?

Annual Income: $38,340.00

Annual Expenses: $55,784.70

New Debt This Year: $17,444.70

Or in monthly terms:

Monthly Income: $3,195.00

Monthly Expenses: $4,648.72

New Debt This Month: $1,453.72

Progress, to be sure. But hardly of the magnitude necessary. If you don't do something dramatically different, and quickly, you are heading for bankruptcy.

Politicians are telling us that the results of their budget dog and pony show are wonderful , but don't believe them. The American people are not being well served by the clueless, partisan, political class elites.

Most elected officials in Washington, DC are not serious about addressing this very real problem. They are borrowing and spending the United States into economic ruin, and they must be stopped.

Why are Houston, TX police testing spy drones?

Houston, TX police didn't know that KPRC television cameras were watching when they convened a group of law enforcement and Homeland Security officials to launch an unmanned drone spy plane. When they did realize the media was present, officials threatened to have the Federal Aviation Administration charge the KPRC helicopter pilot with violation of restricted air space. Unfortunately for the secrecy-seeking tyrant-wannabes, the FAA insisted there were no air space restrictions in the area.

How will local law enforcement use drone technology, which was developed for spying on and killing terrorists? Houston Police Department (HPD) spokesman Martha Montalvo admits that this technology makes covert police activity possible. "I'm not ruling anything out," she notes at a hastily-convened press conference.

According to this report, HPD officials "will tackle privacy and illegal search issues later." But this isn't Afghanistan or Pakistan, it's still the United States of America. We are governed by our Constitution, which guarantees freedom from unreasonable search and seizure in the Fourth Amendment: "The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated..."

Shouldn't privacy and illegal searches be among the first issues we consider?

TSA keeping us safe from CNN reporters

Think the Federal government can't muscle its way into your life any more than it already does? CNN's Anderson Cooper and Drew Griffin explain how the Transportation Security Administration can make your ordinary, law-abiding life miserable:

According to a Northeast Intelligence Network report, Americans who opt out of radiation-emitting body scanners operated by TSA are being placed on a "Non-Islamic Domestic Terrorist" list by the US Department of Homeland Security.

Naming ordinary American travelers "domestic extremists" is insane. Every American should contact their elected officials - Federal, state and even local - to complain about this. Rather than truly focusing on air travel security, the TSA is being used to control and condition American citizens to the idea that Federal permission is required for everything in life. Congress must act immediately to stop repeated TSA violations of our Fourth Amendment rights.

If we accept all this as "normal," the terrorists have indeed won.
